Why Linux Is Super Epic
and you should consider using it, if you're not already
The main reason that I can think of is freedom. if you have done prior reasearch you've more than likely heard this, but lets break it down.
When researching linux based operating systems you hear quite a bit about the customizability of the OS, but where does that come from? Really the freedom of what you are allowed to do is what fuels this customizability. with closed source operating systems (windows, macOS, etc.) they force their customization options on you, what they say you can do is what you're allowed to do. With linux on the other hand you can change the base level code in any way you want (securely, you have to input your password), with almost no guardrails (and even those are easily bypassable). because the code can be changed in any way, your computer experience can be changed in any way. it's beyond customizability, its total freedom.
also because of this you obviously dont have to pay for anything, you wont have your data harvested and stolen, you wont have to have AI forced upon you or adds, and basically every other annoying thing windows does.
